I’ve previously worked with Born Pretty Store on my blog (You can see my posts here, here and here). It’s a large online beauty store and reminds me of eBay for some reason. Everything is super cheap. The website contains lots of beauty gadgets and products. Personally I would be careful about where I buy different foundations, concealers, skin care etc. as my skin is quite bad and I know ‘cheap’ ingredients can cause it to seriously break out. But for things like lipsticks, nail art tools, lashes etc. you can’t really go wrong!
Born pretty store were very kind to send me out some more goodies, which I have been trying out over the last few weeks. So let’s start off with the lip products. I was sent two liquid lipsticks and one matte lipstick. Unfortunately one of the liquid lipsticks arrived with a broken applicator so I was unable to try it out, although I did manage to scrape out a swatch. I was actually very impressed with the pigment of the bright pink liquid lipstick (01) , the only downside is the staying power, which is understandable for the price (€1.81). The liquid lipstick is easy to apply and is very comfortable on the lips, the smell is slightly off putting for me and the colour is not something I would tend to go for but overall the product is pretty decent for the price. I think if the applicator wasn’t broken on shade 03, I would have definitely got a lot more wear out of that shade. You can find the liquid lipsticks here. The top swatch shown below is 01 and the second is 03.
The last swatch shown above is a lovely matte lipstick in shade 26, perfect for Autumn! It photographed quite red toned but it’s definitely more brown toned in person. Again the staying power is really the only downside, although I find it lasts just as long as some of my other more expensive matte lipsticks. For €3.63 this lipstick has become one of my favourites. You can find it here.
I was also sent an oval brush, which is something I’ve been dying to try! The tightly packed bristles helps the brush to flawlessly blend in foundation and cream contours. The one I was sent was a very basic one, but worked very well and has made me want to buy the flawless oval brush now. Unfortunately the oval brush is no longer available on the website.
The mask to the right of the photo above is a black pore peel off mask. Unfortunately it came in a different language, so I was unable to read any details or instructions. Luckily I’ve seen plenty of videos on Facebook of people using them, so I had an idea myself of what to do. Keep your eyes peeled, I’ll have a separate review coming soon with before and after pictures.
I also just realised I was sent eyelashes too which I forgot to add into the photo. A pack of 10 pairs costs €4.32 and this is the particular style I was sent. I’m very impressed with them. I had to cut them down as they were too big for my eyes but that tends to happen with the majority of lashes I buy. I always use duo glue with any lashes I wear ( you can find it in boots, penneys and also certain pharmacies)
Overall I’m once again very impressed with Born Pretty Store. For such low prices, I’m very surprised that the quality of the products are so good. If you’re looking for handy little beauty gadgets or a nice Autumnal Affordable lipstick then definitely check out Born Pretty Store. You can get 10% off using the code ‘Niah10’.
